BenPay KYC Verification Notes

  1. Before Verification

  1. Verification Order Cannot Be Skipped
KYC verification includes three levels: V1 → V2 → V3, which must be completed in order. You cannot start the next level without completing the previous one.
  1. Information Accuracy Check
Before submitting your phone number, email, or ID details, carefully review them for accuracy and format to avoid verification failures or account restrictions.
  1. Common Verification Errors & Solutions

If you encounter the following messages, please follow the instructions:
  • "Incorrect verification code" Check whether the code entered matches the one received. Pay attention to case sensitivity and spaces.
  • "Verification code expired" Codes are usually valid for 5–10 minutes. Enter promptly. If expired, request a new code.
  • "Please enter a valid phone number/email address" Confirm the phone format (e.g., starting with +86) or email format. Avoid typos or unsupported email providers.
  1. Account Binding Rules

  • One email address can be linked to up to 5 BenPay accounts.
  • One ID document can be used to verify up to 5 BenPay accounts.
  1. Benefits Corresponding to Each Verification Level

Verification Level Key Benefits
V1 (Phone/Email Verification) Ability to create groups and start chats within the App
V2 (ID Document Verification) Ability to send and receive on-chain red packets
V3 (Advanced Verification) More benefits are under development — stay tuned
  1. IM-Related Reminders

In the following scenarios, if your email is not yet bound, the system will prompt you to complete binding:
  • Sending or receiving red packets
  • Sending messages
  • Making transfers
For example, when you receive a red envelope, you need to bind your
(ID Document Verification)V2 account. If you haven't bound it, the system app will display a prompt; click "Go to Verification."
This binding process is consistent with the KYC V2 rules. You can only use the relevant functions normally after binding. View the binding tutorial.
