Protecting Your Wallet

The security of your wallet depends on how you log in. Please follow the security guidelines that correspond to your chosen method.
  • Login with Google / Apple (zkLogin)
  • This method links your wallet's security to your social account, eliminating the need to manage a seed phrase. Protecting your Google or Apple account is protecting your wallet. The most critical action is:
    • You must enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for your Google or Apple account.
  • Login with OpenBlock Wallet
  • This method uses Multi-Party Computation (MPC) technology to secure your wallet, also without requiring you to manage a complex seed phrase. Your security relies on your login credentials (e.g., email, phone number) and the wallet's recovery mechanism. Please be sure to:
    • Protect your login credentials and familiarize yourself with the wallet's social recovery process.
  • Login with a Seed Phrase
  • This method means you are the sole controller of your assets. Your seed phrase is the master key to your wallet, and its security is paramount. You must:
    • Back it up offline (e.g., written on paper), store it in a secure physical location (e.g., a safe), and never share it with anyone.
