What Is BenFen ID?

BenFen ID is an on-chain identity credential. After completing identity verification, you can use BenFen ID to verify your identity across different DApps or services.
It helps you prove that you meet certain identity requirements while reducing the direct exposure of sensitive personal information.

What can BenFen ID be used for?

You can use BenFen ID to:
  1. Complete identity verification;
  2. Claim an on-chain identity credential;
  3. Authorize DApps to verify your identity conditions;
  4. Reduce repeated verification processes;
  5. View your historical authorization and verification records.

Will BenFen ID expose my real identity?

In a normal verification process, the DApp mainly receives the verification result, such as “Passed” or “Failed”, instead of your complete identity information.
For example:
  1. A DApp wants to know whether you have completed KYC;
  2. A DApp wants to know whether you are over 18 years old;
  3. A DApp wants to know whether you meet regional access requirements.
BenFen ID helps you prove whether these conditions are met, instead of directly sharing your full identity documents with the DApp. The verification result returned by the verification contract does not include specific identity information.
