Common fraud
Phishing scam: Scammers use fake BenPay websites or emails to lure you into entering your private key or card information.
Prepaid scam: Someone claims to have to pay a fee to activate or load a card.
Fake website: Create a fake website similar to BenPay's official website to steal information.
False airdrop: Using free tokens as bait to deceive connected wallets or funds.
Card theft: Installing devices on ATMs or POS machines to steal card information.
Counterfeit merchants: Scammers and counterfeit merchants demand payment through BenPay cards.
Fraud prevention techniques
Do not share your card or account info with anyone.
Do not save cards or account credentials on the device.
Freeze the card when not in use and unfreeze it immediately when needed.
Make sure the authentication information is correct before authorizing the transaction.
Report unauthorized transactions immediately and notify us of card loss/theft.
Regularly check transaction records to ensure that all transactions are authorized.
